About Dr. Nelson

Dr. Lora Nelson has been practicing dentistry since July 2012. She worked as Dr. David Andersen's associate dentist for eight years before purchasing the practice in July 2020.

Dr. Nelson grew up in Cambridge, MN before attending college at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended the University of Minnesota where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Nelson is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), and Northwestern District Dental Society.

Dr. Nelson lives in Park Rapids with her husband, Jeremy, who owns Park Performance Chiropractic. They have three young children who keep them very busy: Layla, Natalie, and Benjamin. In her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys being on the lake, home decorating, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her basset hound, Humphrey.
